Fudge Hopes to Bring a Sense of Humour to School Board

Sunday, October 12, 2014 @ 3:53 PM

Prince George, B.C. – After standing on the sidelines the past two elections Dennis Fudge has finally decided to take the plunge and run for a Trustee position in School District 57.

“I’ve thought about it for probably the last two elections and it’s a big commitment. I always end up bailing out at the last minute so this year I said I’m going for it.”

Fudge, a father of three, says he’s been heavily involved with the Parent Advisory Council at Spruceland Elementary School which has given him “a lot of experience dealing with parents, PAC’s, and committees.”

And he says his professional background as an Air Quality Meteorologist would also help him in the job.

“I find patterns in data that most people fail to pick up on. This is useful when looking at trends in grades and student enrollments.”

Fudge says his goals include improving the education system, to increase voter turnout by at least 20%, and to put a smile on people’s faces.

“If I could make people laugh out loud during my campaign when they are having a bad day then it would be worth it.”
