Prince George, B.C. – RCMP continue their investigation into the deaths of two people, struck by a tractor trailer unit last Thursday morning.

It is known that the tractor trailer unit struck one of two people ( a man and a woman) who had been walking in the area of Nicholson and 22nd Avenue.

Witnesses have indicated the second person was struck when they tried to  get the vehicle to stop.

Both people who died  were in their early fifties and were known to one another.

No information is yet available to whether the elderly man operating the tractor trailer faces any charges.

Names of the deceased have  yet to be released.
