WestJet’s Boeing 737-800  has been labeled the Magic Plane because of its special  paint job – photos 250News

Prince George, B.C.-  it was a treat for many residents of Prince George,  catching a view of the special WestJet   Walt Disney World themed  aircraft.

The  Boeing 737-800 arrived this morning on a flight from Vancouver.

Folks  parked their vehicles along the Old Cariboo Highway so they could snap a photo of the  special  craft.

The stop at YXS  called for a change in crew, and the  new team was not aware  they would be flying a special craft back to Vancouver. “I wondered why there were so many people standing around with cameras” says Captain Rob Pretty.

This special craft is part of the WestJet fleet and is meant to be a promotional  tool for WestJet vacations and Walt Disney World.friesens

It is  integrated into the regular  fleet  use,  so  it visits  all the places  where WestJet  flies.

The first folks to  board the flight  to Vancouver  were the Friesens from Vanderhoof ( photo at right).

With a few minutes to refresh the cabin,  change the crew,  load the passengers and their luggage,  the WestJet “magic plane” was soon up, up  and away.

How far do they take this theme? Do they serve magic mushrooms as snacks?

Seriously? This story (and the previous) brought to you by WestJet. Where you can pay excessive prices for our holiday packages. But we’ll tell you a joke.

Wow, who would turn up to watch a painted plane? Is this supposed to make us feel better about the new baggage rate increase?

If they didn’t get some press coverage, they wouldn’t have come. This is just about advertising, nothing more, nothing less.

Exactly JB, the plane rotates through the fleet, different routes, nothing more than advertising for Disney and WestJet vacations.

And if you owned a business you would all decline free advertising, right?

That is the point BMW….it’s just advertising, nothing more.

If I owned a business, of course not. But don’t post this a news story, when it’s an obvious advertorial. I know there is more going on in PG on a Saturday than a jet landing and taking off on it’s regular schedule.

Nice for the kids to see the special painted plane. Most of you probably do not have kids and imaginations.
