Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Crime Stoppers Society was busy with another public paper shredding Saturday in the Walmart parking lot.

The organization teams up with Shred-it mobile shredding services to give the public an opportunity to safely destroy personal or other documents and paperwork to prevent identity theft. The service is provided on a donation basis and applies only to residents, not businesses. A similar event earlier in the summer resulted in donations totaling $450. All of the money goes toward supporting Crime Stoppers.

The big shredding machine inside the truck is capable of destroying just about anything, except Kevlar, according to the operator.
