Busy Night for City Council
Prince George, B.C.- Should be a very busy night at Prince George City Council.
Council will receive a delegation from the Hart Highlands which will call for grant funding to support the sewer upgrades as the City prepares for phase two of the installations. The group will present a series of documents outlining the promises made in the ‘70s to the residents.
The recent installation of the sewer connection will cost each household at least $26 thousand dollars plus anywhere from $5 to $10 thousand to connect to the sewer system.
Also on the agenda, a petition from the friends of the Prince George Public Library, calling on Council to support funding the renovation to the entrance of the library. The petition carries more than 1300 signatures.
Council will be asked to approve the allocations for 2015 Centennial Celebrations, and dollars being allocated from the myPG Social Development fund.

$5K to $10k is way too much. If people are paying that , it would only be in an extremely difficult install or they’re getting ripped. The average install should cost anywhere from $1000 on the low side doing the excavation yourself, to $3,500. Most are paying between $2,500 and $3,500.
Just curious as to where the $5K to $10K figure came from.
Very interested to see what comes from this and hope they succeed. However, I have strong doubts.
Dont forget to add all the posturing that will happen to try to get our votes.. should be lots of grandstanding next few meetings before the election.
P Val yer right. They should sell tickets LOL.
