Ottawa Shooter No Known Connection To This Part Of Province

Prince George- There is no connection for Michael Zehaf Bibeau, who was shot to death in the parliament buildings in Ottawa earlier today, and this part of the province.
CBC has reported that Bibeau has a connection to the province of BC before moving to Quebec .
While Bibeau has a connection to BC, he was charged with uttering threats in 2012 in the lower mainland, he had no known connection in this area of the province.

I suppose he had no connection to the Okanagan as well then. Imagine that!
WOW….this is an amazingly insightful and well written piece of media. I too am curious if he had any connection to the Okanagan, or the maybe the Prince Rupert area…..lots of shady people from there?
Prof: “His family name Zehaf (Arabic) and Bibeau (French) suggests a kid from mixed marriage.”
My earlier suggestion yesterday was closer to the reality than other intelligence analysis and news reports available immediately after the shootings, but now we have the complete picture. According to the Guardians:
“The Canadian news channel CTV News named his mother as Susan Bibeau, the deputy chair of the immigration committee at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. CTV also reported that his stepfather, or adoptive father, is a Libyan businessman, Bulgasem Zehaf, who once owned a cafe called Café Tripoli and appears to have fought in Libya in 2011, according to the Globe and Mail . The couple divorced in 1999.”
