This cartoon makes a good point. Seargeant-at-Arms Vickers is being hailed as a hero, but little has been said about Samearn Son. While we should certainly be grateful to the Seargeant-at-Arms for killing the gunman, surely it takes at least as much courage for an unarmed person like Samearn Son to attack a shooter.

Good point billposer. In some of the news reports I have read, Sergeant-at-Arms Vickers has pointed out very clearly the Samearn Son’s actions were a critical part of the overall team response and that it was a team effort that resolved the event. Often it is the press looking for a hero as it makes for a good story and often overlooks the reality as felt by the players in the event.
