Prince George, B.C. – The annual UNBC Artisans of the North Fair is well underway.
Conference Event Coordinator Sarah Saunders says it features roughly 90 vendors and 150 tables and says it’s a fundraiser for the UNBC Timberwolves soccer team.
“All the artisans as part of their entry into the fair have to donate something to the cause.”
Some of the players for the T-Wolves women’s team were also on hand selling raffle tickets.
“It pays for travel throughout the season. Gear, everything it costs to run the soccer team,” says Jordan Hall.
Everything the vendors are selling is hand-made and includes knitting, woodworking, arts, crafts, food and jewellery.
The fair resumes today at 10:00 am and wraps up 4:00 pm.
