Prince George, B.C. – A new piece of equipment that will make voting easier for those with visual disabilities will be unveiled this morning in City Council chambers.
The City of Prince George has secured an “AutoMARK” voting machine for the use of voters who are blind, visually impaired or have another disability or condition which makes it difficult for them to mark a ballot. AutoMARK will be available for use during advance voting days at City Hall, from 8:00am to 8:00pm November 5th and 12th.
The machine will be unveiled at 11 this morning by Chief Election Officer Walter Babicz and representatives from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
