Quesnel, B.C. – One person is dead following a collision with a pick up truck on November 6th in Quesnel.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident which saw a woman  struck by a south bound pick up truck  as she was crossing on North Fraser Drive near the  West Quesnel foot bridge shortly after 8  p.m. Thursday night.

The woman was  pronounced dead at the scene.

The 24 year old  driver of the truck remained at the scene.

RCMP say the incident  happened  near a crosswalk, but the woman  was not in the crosswalk at the time of the collision.  Investigators say  the  conditions were poor at the time as it was dark, raining, and the woman was wearing dark clothing.
