Cold Is On the Way
Prince George, B.C.- Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning that temperatures will be dipping far below seasonal norms in the next few days.
In the statement, Environment Canada advises a cold dry Arctic air mass is invading the Province.
“The southwesterly flow of mild moist sub-tropical air that has given most of BC mild wet conditions over the past few weeks will be replaced by a strong northerly flow of cold dry Arctic air over the next few days” reads the statement.
The statement advises that the leading edge of the Arctic air is over Northern BC and is giving snow and freezing rain to the BC Peace region. “Over the weekend this dome of Arctic air will slump southward into the Central Interior and much of eastern BC. By Tuesday the Arctic air will have settled across the region resulting in temperatures some 5 to 10 degrees below seasonal averages.”
That means Remembrance Day will be bitterly cold. The forecast is calling for sunshine on Tuesday November 11th, but a high of only minus 6.
The cold snap will likely last through to the end of the week.

-6 is not bitterly cold. -60 is bitterly cold.
-6 IS bitterly cold in the real world. Here it sounds about normal for this time of year.
BRING it on.
What, but the Citizen and Todd Whitcomb say the world is warming. The above report must be wrong.
Todd c02 is a fertilizer and the world has greened 30%. You have to catch up, there has been no warming for almost two decades shown by satellites, the most accurate measure of global temperature. You say c02 is too high? This is based on what considering c02 levels have been mush higher over most of the earths history?
It seems that you and the citizen deny the climate changed before man.
In the early seventies the cry was if man did not change their ways an ice age was coming. When that did not work out the malcontents switched to catastrophic anthropogenic global warming doom and gloom based on poor science. Warmers have been making dire predictions for 30 years. Have any of these predictions, even one, come true. Where are the 50 million climate refuges the UN predicted. Gore and others predicted no summer ice last summer! Well lots of ice and inside normal historical levels.
What’s a climate scientist? Very questionable.
I would love to see the snow. For me it is much nicer to see everything white with the sun out ,blue sky. It sure beats this gray wet drizzle any day.
Our kids already made 3 snowmen in the yard…all gone now, bring back the white stuff
