Salvation Army Seeking Kettle Campaign Volunteers
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Salvation Army is seeking volunteers for its kettle campaign.
Business Coordinator Bill Glasgow says the drive kicks off this coming Friday.
“There’s 12 locations this year and there’s 11 hours that need to be manned (at each location). It’s asking a lot but there’s a lot of good people here who always ring in.”
He says their goal is to raise $250,000 this year and notes they fell short last year because they didn’t have enough volunteers.
Glasgow says all money raised stays local.
“The money is put back into the Prince George area and it helps our operating budget. With things like hampers and food bank costs.”
He says volunteers are asked to work a minimum two hour shift and asks anyone interested to call 250-596-4673.
