Prince George, B.C. – There’s a craft fair at D.P. Todd Secondary today.
It’s an annual fundraiser to help fund the school’s band program.
“It’s an opportunity for kids to volunteer time and baking to raise money for the program,” says band teacher Susan Klein.
“It goes towards anything to do with the band. It could be buying music, buying folders, going on trips. This year we’re going to nationals in Toronto and we have 60 kids signed up for that.”
She says they have a fundraising goal of $8,000 and says there’s all kinds of goodies available including arts, crafts, and baking for sale.
The fair runs until 4:00 pm this afternoon.
