Police Probe Suspicious Incident
Prince George, B.C. – RCMP are investigating an incident that occurred Monday on a popular walking trail in Prince George and they are hoping you can help.
On Monday , an adult female, walking her dog along Greenway Trail near UNBC was approached by a lone male who propositioned her for sex. The male departed after two adults walking by offered to help the female. The female was escorted back to her vehicle by the couple and no further incidents occurred.
The incident was reported to UNBC security who searched the immediate area and called police. The male was not located. He is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Early 20’s
- Approximately 173 cm (5’8″)
- Approximately 68 kg (150 lbs)
- Short blonde or light brown hair
The Prince George RCMP would like to remind all persons using any of the trail systems in our area to exercise caution and:
- Wherever possible, walk with at least one other person you trust;
- Be aware of your surroundings including escape routes and other persons on the trail;
- Before going out, always tell someone where you will be;
- Bring a whistle or noise making device;
- Report any incidents to police as soon as possible.
