Prince George, B.C. – Porter and McMillan Insurance  in the Hart Mall in Prince George,  has had to switch to plan B for  providing service to its clients following this morning’s crash.

A truck crashed through the front doors  of the office around 7:30 this morning.  The driver  of the  truck has been taken to hospital,  luckily  none of the staff in the office suffered any serious injuries.

But   it will take time to  repair the damage.

Porter and McMillan plans to set up a temporary office across the hall from  the  damaged office in the mall.  That  temporary site will be open as  of Saturday for regular business hours.  In the meantime, Hart staff  are working out of at the Downtown and College Heights offices.

While the phones are still ringing in the Hart office, they can’t be answered and the answering system is out of commission. Clients are asked to call Porter and McMillan downtown (250-563-9217) or College Heights (250-964-4400) for further information.

Yikes.

Seeing this is a parking lot I wonder if they had offroad insurance?

A 3 vehicle crash in an empty parking lot at 7:30 am ?

Maybe checking to see if the insurance they sold him covered this sort of stuff.. Heyyy they have a drive thru now, just like downtown

He could waiting till 8:30 decided to open up early!

Where is friday free for all???????

Who insures an insurer?

They aren’t really insurers, I don’t think. They’re brokers. Their clients are actually insured by other companies. So they probably have policies with insurance companies just like their clients do.

I understand that. I wasn’t being literal. It was more of a goofy question for a frosty Friday morning. The companies that provide the insurance through the broker must have insurance themselves. I was thinking to myself, can they deny themselves coverage?

:D
