Vanderhoof, BC – Gerry Thiessen has been re-elected as mayor in Vanderhoof.Thiessen received 977 votes to Jessi Wilson’s 230.

The six councillors elected to the District of Vanderhoof are:  Brian Frenkel (824 votes), Ken Young (810 votes), Kevin Moutray (800 votes), John Murphy (778 votes), Darren Carpenter (709 votes), and Steve Little (637 votes).

Voter turn-out was high, at almost 43-percent, with 1217 of 2842 eligible voters casting ballots.
