Prince George, B.C. – Today is Sports Day in Canada, which celebrates sport at all levels, from participating for the fun of it all the way up to the serious and high-performance ranks.

Mayor-elect Lyn Hall, who will preside over the inaugural meeting of his new council Monday evening, will help mark Sports Day at Duchess Park Secondary this morning. PacificSport Northern BC is teaming up with the City of Prince George, Northern Health and the YMCA in the celebration with a whole slate of activities at the school. Families are invited out to join in the fun and try as many sports as you like. It’s all free of charge.

Sports Day in Canada runs from 9:30 am until 2 pm today at Duchess Park.
