McBride, B.C.- BC Hydro is  hoping to have power restored to customers in the Robson Valley by 8p.m. tonight.

The snow storm that ripped through the  region Thursday is being blamed for the outages.

Power is out to customers  in  numerous areas  from Dome Creek to  the B.C. Alberta border along  highway 16 east.

Some customers have been without power since about 5:30 last evening.
