Warming Trend in Store for Prince George Area

Prince George, B.C. – Residents of the Prince George area should get some relief from the biting cold spell of recent days, but the climb will be slow and gradual over the course of the coming week.

There was plenty of vehicular traffic around the city on Saturday, it’s just that you didn’t want to be out of the vehicle for very long in temperatures that reached minus 21 for a high, with a low or minimum of minus 32.3. Following some ice fog early this morning the sky is expected to clear, with a high of minus 19. However winds out of the southeast are expected to provide a wind chill today of minus 35. Cloud will increase tonight with a low holding fairly steady at minus 20.

The rest of the work and school week looks like this:

Monday: Cloudy, 40% chance of flurries. High minus 15, low minus 17.

Tuesday: Mix of sun and cloud. High minus 13, low minus 16.

Wednesday: Cloudy with a 30% chance of flurries. High minus 13, low minus 15.

Thursday: Cloudy with a 40% chance of flurries. Temperature holding steady at minus 12 throughout the day.

Friday:   Cloudy, 30% chance of flurries. High minus 3, low minus 5.

And it should be cloudy next Saturday with a high of high of a warm minus 1.
