Prince George, B.C. – Multi Materials B.C. has become the latest official supplier to the 2015 Canada Winter Games and it will open the door to recycling for multi family dwellings in Prince George.
MMBC will provide 550 recycling bins to the Games, so there will be recycling receptacles at all Games venues.
Once the Games are over, MMBC will gift those receptacles to Emterra Environmental so the recycling program instituted in September to single family homes can be expanded to 4,300 units in multi family buildings in Prince George.
“Multi-Material BC is pleased to be able to contribute to the 2015 Canada Winter Games and their legacy,” says Allen Langdon, Managing Director of Multi-Material BC. “Through this contribution we are not only assisting the
2015 Canada Games in maintaining its sustainability objectives, but we are also then able to expand opportunities for Prince George residents to recycle more materials, an essential step to help us increase the amount of packaging and printed paper that is diverted from landfills.”
Mayor Lyn Hall says MMBC’s involvement with the Games will have a positive impact in Prince George “As a community, having these bins in place during the Games will dramatically decrease the volume of waste
going into our landfills. However, the true impacts will be experienced long term as multi-family dwellings will have access to the same curbside recycling program as single family homes.”

I like the new mayor. I voted for Mr.Hall. Well it has NOTHING to do with his abilities, I do wish he would loose those ridiculous glasses. Looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie. Horrible
Are his glasses loose? Maybe he should tighten them.
You cant tell a man by his glasses.l
