Arrest Part of Rash of Crimes Investigation

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP have released more details on the arrest 250 News reported earlier today.takedown

The arrest  came at the  end of a rash of crimes that had  struck Prince George this morning.

Around 6 this morning, Prince George RCMP received a report of a Break & Enter at a residence on McQueen Crescent in Prince George.

Officers attended and determined that sometime during the early morning, electronics, credit cards, and keys to a vehicle parked outside had been stolen. The vehicle, an SUV, was stolen.

At 7:43 AM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Jarvis Street in Prince George. A minivan had been stolen.

At 8:08 AM, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Chingee Avenue in Prince George. Officers attended and located the stolen SUV with significant front end damage.

Chingee Avenue, Jarvis Street and McQueen Crescent are  close to each other.

At approximately 11:25 AM, an alert General Duty officer located the stolen minivan at a gas station on 20th Avenue near Victoria Street. The officer arrested the lone occupant without incident.

A 24 year old Prince George resident will be held in custody until his first court appearance on Friday December 5th, 2014.   He will likely be facing multiple Criminal Code charges including Possession of Stolen Property.

The investigation is continuing.

Gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that drugs will be a part of “The rest of the story”

And the abuse he suffered as a child led to the drug abuse, then dealing down the charges to one summary offense, and then probation….ad nauseum..
