Prince George, B.C. – The seventh annual Two Rivers Gallery Artisan’s Fair is in full swing this afternoon.

It features local vendors with a wide range of offerings including aboriginal art, paintings, prints, scarves, purses and wallets.

Retail and marketing coordinator Elsie Wiebe Klingler says all the vendors were chosen through a jury process noting “you’re going to see quality when you come.”

She says the purpose of the fair is to “strengthen the relationship with artists in the community.”

Painter Amie Stoltz says events like these are valuable for local artists in what she describes as a competitive field.

“I think everyone’s an artist in their own way so it’s definitely hard to kind of find your own niche. So finding that certain characteristic that you make your own is super difficult but you just have to pump them out and you’ll find it all flows together.”

Admission to the event is free and it runs until 5:00 p.m.
