Terrace, B.C. – The final torch celebration of 2014 is being held in Terrace today.

One of the torchbearers is Canada Winter Games alumnus, paralympian, and Terrace native Caleb Brousseau.

“I’m really excited to be a part of today’s event. After participating in 2011 and to be able to support the athletes going this year is really exciting.”

Brousseau won the bronze medal in the men’s Super-G in Halifax in 2011 and another bronze in the same event at this year’s Sochi Olympics.

He credits the Canada Winter Games with playing a big part in his development.

“It was a big stepping stone. It showed me what the possibilities were in the future for myself to become a paralympian.”

The next torch celebration prior to the start of the games takes place in Quesnel next month.
