Deadline Fast Approaching for City Grants
Prince George, B.C. – If you’d like to take advantage of two grants on offer from the City of Prince George, time is running out.
The MyPG Social Development grant focuses on three main areas: civic pride, cultural richness, and safer environments.
The goal of the 100th Anniversary Grants is to encourage community groups to celebrate and commemorate the city’s 100th anniversary next year.
“We have so many really good quality groups in our community and we’re really hoping they will think of really cool, interesting ideas on how to celebrate the 100th anniversary,” says Doug Hofstede, community coordinator in the Recreation and Cultural Services Department.
“Hopefully these groups will get their thinking caps on and come up with something that will expand the celebrations for the community.”
Applications are due January 30, 2015 and can be downloaded here. For more information call 250-561-7640.

“Other ministries charged $600 in iTunes downloads while one department expensed three visits to a Hooters restaurant in Edmonton — your tax dollars at work.”

The itunes sounds like a personal expense to me. I’d like to know if this person (or persons) is still employed by the government and, if so, why?
