Road Conditions a Factor in Fatal Crash

Prince George, B.C.- North District RCMP say a 53 year old woman from Alberta is the person who died in a crash that occurred south of McLeod Lake this morning.RCMP say the woman was the driver of one of two commercial vehicles that had pulled over on highway 97 with their pilot vehicle, to “chain up”.
She was on the driver’s side of her unit putting on the chains, when a passing transport truck slid sideways on the ice, and struck her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash continues.
