Wind Storm Knocks Out Power
Wednesday, December 10, 2014 @ 9:41 AM
Prince George, B.C. About 300 BC Hydro customers are without electricity this morning, as a windstorm has impacted BC Hydro operations.Power is out in pockets of areas from Old Summit Lake Road on the northern edge, south to Woodpecker. From Penny in the east, west to Norman Lake Road.
BC Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer says the windstorm saw numerous trees come in contact with hydro lines. Crews are busy trying to remove the debris.
B.C. Hydro says the power was off around 8 this morning, and it hopes to have everyone back on line by 4 this afternoon.

Winid?
I thank you for the note.
It is not so much a spelling error as it is a typo.
While our program does pick up typos in the body of a story, it doesn’t do so in a headline. As you all know, when you have written the story and you know what it SHOULD say, your mind skips over the obvious.

Please Elaine, your spelling would get a fail grade as of late….. It kinda wrecks the story being told.
Really! Spelling is the issue? Some people have too much time on their hands!
Living Water………. It takes a lot of effort to get the news out as fast a possible. The odd spelling mistake is going to happen and is not a big deal. Dont you have something better to do than insult the hard working folks. Oh, and If I have mispelled something here please be sure to point it out..
lol…age of the internet, spelling police, gotta point out your superiority to the world through a pseudonym
I forgive you ;) Sure was a gooder of a storm :)

Good one Carpenter to remember when writing a job application or a master’s degree thesis! :-)
wind or did hydro rempotely shut off the power so they could sell it elsewhere for more?
YES…they can shut of the new smart meters remotely….
but they would NeVeR do that…no not them!
One comment was related to the story and that from a conspiracy theorist. Slow day for everyone, including me, apparently. Think they will shut off the gas next BCracer to sell to China?
Lol.
I love the comment Carpenter. I’ve read of that before and seen an email written like that but not quite so obviously misspelled as the comment you left…
That was well done.
There is a distinct difference between a spelling error and a typo.
Conspiracy theory works, Huh, especially since I have been up since 5 AM and I haven’t seen any sign of wind…
And Hydro in the past has been on occaison, in my opinion, anything but forthcoming…
and you might want to chech out what I said and you will find that they can in fact shut of your power , remotely , anytime they feel like it.
so my suggestion is not all that hokey or implausable.
I heard BC Hydro caused the wind storm and planned the whole thing! It’s true! I read it on the internet!
Well, I guess if you think selling power from 300 households really makes any sense anything is possible.
Carpenter: You got me laughing out loud. Well read, too.
Johnny, yer not supposed to insult people on here! Yer just as bad as Carpenter, laughing more!
Conspiracy theorists are funny, what can I say?
Let’s make this Friday’s free for all a conspiracy theory special then. (:
I have heard that police can use smart meters to listen in on coverstions through electrical outlets.
Listen that way yes, and watch you in the living room from the camera inside your smart Tv at the same time.
Give you head a shake bcracer
