Prince George, B.C.- The windstorm that created power outages in a number of neighbourhoods in and around Prince George yesterday, also caused damage to parks in Prince George.City Parks crews have been busy yesterday and today, clearing the debris caused when high winds knocked down trees, and made others unstable.
Cottonwood Island Park was especially hard hit, with numerous trails blocked by trees that had been blown down.
Crews were not only clearing the mess, but assessing numerous trees to ensure they were still securely rooted and not posing any danger to the public.
