Prince George, B.C. – A reduction in demand means Northern Health Connections will have a lighter schedule during the holidays.

The bus, which provides transportation for folks needing out-of-town medical attention, begins its final travel routes of 2014 today.

These last routes are as follows:

Prince George to Vancouver – December 21
Vancouver to Prince George – December 23
Prince George to Prince Rupert – December 21
Prince Rupert to Prince George – December 22
Prince George to Fort St John – December 21
Fort St John to Prince George – December 23
Valemount to Prince George – December 23
McBride, Valemount to Kamloops – December 18
Burns Lake to Terrace – December 18
Fort Nelson to Dawson Creek – December 16
Dawson Creek to Fort Nelson – December 18
Prince George to Mackenzie – December 17
Quesnel to Prince George – December 23
Burns Lake to Prince George – December 23

The regular schedule resumes January 1, with all routes fully operational on January 8.

The call centre will close at noon on Christmas Eve and reopen December 29. It will also be closed on New Year’s Day reopening January 2.
