Clark Makes Cabinet Adjustment

Thursday, December 18, 2014 @ 3:36 PM

Victoria, B.C.- You wouldn’t actually call it a Cabinet shuffle, but   BC Premier Christy Clark has tweaked her Cabinet by making adjustments to Cabinet responsibilities.

The change sees Andrew Wilkinson take over the post  of Minister of Advanced Education.  Amrik Virk , who used to be the Minister of Advanced Education,  becomes the Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services.

“We are committed to growing the economy and ensuring British Columbians are first in line for job opportunities,” said Premier Clark. “These changes allow us to make the decisions necessary for a thriving province.”

As well, the Premier made the following changes to Parliamentary Secretaries:

* MLA Jane Thornthwaite for Child Mental Health and Anti-Bullying for the Minister of Children and Family Development, Stephanie Cadieux.
* MLA Dan Ashton for the Minister of Finance, Michael de Jong.
* MLA Mike Bernier for Energy Literacy and the Environment for Minister of Environment, Mary Polak.

Virk should have been fired, not shuffled out, for knowingly skirting government compensation rules while on board at Kwantlen and then lying about it. There should be a by election in his riding.

“Thriving province” is that why Christy Clark is allowing 30% of our provinces resident hunter leh’s to go to guide outfitters which numbers are only about 3500 hunters. Shouldn’t that %30 stay with the 103,000 resident hunters who’s. Revenue is $230,000,000 annually ?

From this day forward, the peanut butter will be on the top shelf.

Oh, thank you for the minor tweaks!Whew, am I going to sleep so much better tonight, knowing everything will come up roses tomorrow with these changes.Should be smooth sailing until the next election now.

The fact that these figurehead MLAs get ‘shuffled’ to different cabinet posts every once in a while really underlines their true usefulness.
