Christmas Eve Fun at the Railway & Forestry Museum
Prince George, B.C. – If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, the Railway & Forestry Museum will be the place to be this afternoon.
The Celebration of Lights runs from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will include rides on the Cottonwood Minitrain, a Christmas village, and tons of Christmas lights.
After tonight locals may be in for a real treat as the museum, unlike previous years, will reopen from December 27th to December 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. if enough volunteers come forward.
“Normally we’re closed but because we have all these lights I’m trying to stay open but give my staff time off. So if anyone wants to volunteer please come down and let me know or call 250-563-7351,” says executive director Ranjit Gill.
Since the Celebration of Lights kicked off last week she says it’s been a major success with an average of 500 visitors each night.
