Prince George, B.C. – The Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights was shining bright , but that doesn’t mean the campaign has reached its goal.
“Right now that campaign has raised just under $29,500 dollars” says Salvation Army Business Manager Bill Glasgow “and that’s about $20 thousand short of the goal.”
There is still time to buy a light and they can be purchased for $5 dollars each at the coast Inn, or at any credit union in Prince George until the end of the business day today.
Each year, the Salvation Army gives out a Shining Star award to the person, company, group or organization that has made the largest donation to the Tree of lights. “Right now I have a five way tie for first place with each having donated a thousand dollars” says Glasgow.
