Busted In Quesnel
Quesnel- A 23 year old Williams Lake man, has been arrested, and will appear before a Justice of The Peace, later tonight in Quesnel , in connection with a break and entry at the Kersley General Store last night.
The intruder alarm tripped at 4.27 am, sending police officers to the scene , who discovered that the store owner had interrupted the break in . A first nations male, fled the scene, heading north on highway 97.
The suspect left a vehicle at the scene, which was reported as stolen, from Williams Lake.
While looking for the suspect , officers spotted a suspicious vehicle turning down Dragon Road in Quesnel. They found an abandoned vehicle on Datoff Rd. That vehicle had been reported stolen in Quesnel.
Following the fresh footprints in the snow police were able to arrest him at an outbuilding on a property.
He was arrested without incident.

Guess its cheaper to call in a JP than keep him in holding cell.. JP’s get a small fee for coming in..
They can release him on a promise to appear so he can carry on his thievery tonight! It’s quite a system we have.
