Prince George, B.C. – About 50 brave souls took the plunge at the Ness Lake Bible Camp this afternoon as part of the annual Polar Dip.Some came in costumes, some in bathing suits, but they all had one thing in common, they were will willing to wade into the chilly waters of Ness Lake as part of the Bible Camp’s annual fundraising efforts.
Dan Hoffman was the top fundraiser, collecting more than $2,000 in sponsorship for his ‘dip’.
The winner of the best costume for the event was Franzetto Sameit who showed up draped in a wolf skin. This was his first dip in Prince George, but he has taken part in similar events in the Okanagan
Below, Franzetto preps for the dip, then, the wolf gets wet!
The water temperature was about 5 degrees, and dippers stood in freezing rain for their opportunity to get drenched .
