Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George outdoor ice oval reopened early this afternoon.
In a Facebook posting, the Outdoor Ice Oval Society says the ice is very good though there are rough spots on the outside and inside edges.
And due to the freezing temperatures they ask people coming out for a skate to dress appropriately.
Freezing rain and snow had closed the oval earlier this week.

Ice as smooth as a sheet of glass down the middle and kind of lumpy and bumpy around the edges, sounds like the ice oval folks used the knowledge and expertise of the city’s snow removal crew as that would be the exact description of many streets today.
