News Conference to Address Double Homicide at Anahim Lake
Anahim Lake, B.C. – The double homicide at Anahim Lake on Boxing Day will be the focus of a media conference tentatively scheduled for tomorrow morning.
First Nations leaders and the First Nations Chief Medical Officer Dr. Evan Adams will be fielding the questions.
“The Ulkatcho and Nuxalk Nations are deepy saddened by the tragic events which took place in the Anahim Lake community on Boxing Day. Chief and Council from both communities express their heartfelt condolences to the families of the bereaved and offer prayers of strength to the community as a whole coping with this tragedy,” stated a release from the First Nations Health Authority.
“Leadership from both communities are working together to address the impacts that the actions of a few have had on the many. At this time, we ask that visitors and media please respect the privacy of families impacted by this event. The ripple effect of these events is being felt profoundly by the many relations of those involved – please give our families the space to grieve their loved ones.”
The First Nations Authority says crisis counselling services has been made available and that both First Nations communities “are working closely with the RCMP, First Nations Emergency Services Society, First Nations Health Authority, and Provincial Health Services Authority to address issues related to public safety, justice and health.”

I for one am sick and tired of the media hounding these and other folks after a tragic event such as this. Got a call from the Vancouver Sun awhile ago asking for comment about some robber with the same surname. You don’t want to know what I told them.
Major media outlets: Take a pill, relax.
I would think 2 is a fairly common surname.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims affected so painfully by these events. Grizzly2, as you said, enough already.
