Phone Service Likely Restored to Salmon Valley This Afternoon
Prince George, B.C. – Several residents of Salmon Valley have been without Telus landline service since Saturday.
Some residents say that when they called Telus to report the outage, they were advised service would be restored “in February”.
The response led to a number of concerned messages on the Salmon Valley Community Association’s Facebook page.
Telus spokesperson Liz Sauve tells 250News there are technicians on the scene now, with hopes of having the service restored before the end of day. While not yet confirmed, it is thought the outage is related to a power outage that hit the area late last week.
Sauve says Telus was also able to connect with the customer service agent who gave residents the wrong information about the repair time and all efforts will be made to ensure customer service agents have the correct information in the future.
