Prince George, B.C. – The driver of this vehicle required a tow after driving into a snow bank on Massey Drive near the YMCA of Northern B.C. early this afternoon.
Prince George RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says the lone occupant of the car crashed after driving too quickly while making a left hand turn.
As a result he says the driver was issued a speeding ticket.
Luckily the driver escaped the crash without injury.

What will it take to get people to slow down and drive to the conditions?
Too many people think they are better drivers than they really are or are in too much of a hurry in either case they drive beyond the weather and road conditions way too often
gotta get to the rodeo.
And then there are those drivers that just keep tapping their brakes…over and over and over. You dont know if a dog ran out 8 front of them or if they are turning. ..or just testing to see how slippery it is.
I think its because a lot of them drive with one foot on the brake pedal. You can never trust a driver like that.
Great that the driver was ticketed. PG is full of these drivers that will NOT SLOW DOWN! To the RCMP-issue far more tickets please! I am tired of avoiding these speeding demons on city streets, over and over again!
LOL…oh c’mon…you can’t be driving slow when you have lightning bolt decals on your mini station wagon.
Don’t forget a lot of lower mainland students just got back up here after 3 weeks off. We have one next door.
We got a good laugh watching this little hipster taking an hour and a half cleaning off his car eight snowflakes at a time and then spinning his way up the street polishing the ice at 10,000 RPM.

There is soft snow beside the snow pile, that is probably what pulled the vehicle onto it. Drivers need to make sure that they stay clear of these as a car can quickly be pulled into the accumulated snow, it is unfortunate that this event happened.
I don’t think so. If you look at the first picture, you can see his tire marks across the lane and then straight into the snowbank, which spun him around as he climbed it.
