Prince George, B.C. – The 39 year old woman killed in a fatal crash on Highway 97 Wednesday has been identified.
The BC Coroners Service says she was Michelle Susanne Auger of Prince George.
Auger was killed after the SUV she was driving collided with a transit bus at around 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.
Auger was the lone occupant in the SUV while the bus driver was not injured in the collision.
An exact cause has not been released but the Coroners Service notes icy road conditions may have been a factor.

Sad story. Condolences to the family.
metalman.
So sad to hear of her passing. Truly tragic!
Very sad.
my deepest condolences to the family for such a tragic loss.
As I have said, over and over, DON’T BLAME ROAD CONDTIONS!!! Adjust your driving to the existing conditions and SLOW DOWN. Why do most responsible drivers drive the same bad conditions without incident?
SIMPLE LUCK Honestjoe, SIMPLE LUCK,………
Lol-Lol, hopefully you were kidding with your post.
very tragic , condolences to the family and friends of the deceased . pretty sad that someone has to die before a hill on a main hwy. in town gets the attention it got after the fact . don’t know any details but know that can be a bad spot if someone is turning in or out of the blind driveway on the corner near where I believe this accident happened .
No johnnybelt, I am not kidding .. I am saddened and my heart goes out to this family …. BUT .. If the roads had been salted and there were NO ice , this accident would NEVER have happend ….you can yell the ” DRIVE THE ROAD CONDITIONS” till your blue in the face but the simple fact is ….. You and I can only do so much on roads that can only be described as ice rinks ….. What is a good speed to drive at on these roads ???? And how do you make the other hundred drivers around you drive safely ????? It is just a matter of LUCK that any of us arrive home safely when the roads are as UNSAFE as they are …… So no, I’m not kidding ……
Trouble is, “good luck” is usually about 99% good planning and forethought.
