Prince George, B.C. – Police are investigating two early morning shootings in Prince George.policecarnew

One of them occurred around 6:00 a.m. this morning on the 2100 block of Tamarack Street.

“Officers attended and located what they believed to be firearm related damage on a residence located on that block. Two of the persons in the residence were children. No injuries were reported,” says RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass.

“The occupants are not cooperating with police. The residence has been secured by police. This was the same residence that was shot at during the early morning of Tuesday January 6th, 2015.”

At around the same time he says there was another report of shots fired nearby on the 2200 block of Norwood Street.

Douglass says police found gun related damage on the home and notes the occupants of the residence were not hurt and are cooperating.

He says the home is not known to police but has been secured while the Serious Crime, Forensic Identification and General Duty Sections investigate.

Police believe the two incidents are related.

Sounds like, with the lack of co-operation with the police, that maybe the children should be removed from an obvious “dangerous environment”. Is it me or does this sort of crap involving innocent children bother anyone else? I don’t care that these morons want to shoot each other, the only concern to me is the safety of the children caught in the cross fire and the lack of marksmanship on the part of the shooters. I think removal of the children might be an inducement to the parties to “co-operate”, unless they frankly don’t care about the children, then removal from the situation will do no harm what so ever to the dynamic of the house hold.

Just a thought.

If they are not cooperating with police that poses big questions, but also could be fear of reprisals. But without question those children should be removed with or without parents from this house. I hope and pray they will follow through with this.

yeah… for some reason, they never seem to remove kids from dangerous household. Even though the kids are put at risk.. Maybe even the Ministry doesn’t want to take responsibility for the safety of the children.. Weird times we live in nowadays.

Is it just me or does “shooting” not imply that someone was actually shot?

It’s makes a more likely read when the headline sensationalizes the true story, thought iwas on the cbc website for a minute

Hey P Val try the Georgia Straight website. No sensational stuff lots of good news http://WWW.sraigth.com. Guess I’ll get some flack for this suggestion.
