Prince George, B.C. – Hundreds of northern students will participate in an anti-bullying symposium today at the Prince George Civic Centre.

The Northern ERASE Stand UP! Student Symposium has been organized by the Ministry of Education and has been billed as a “By youth, For youth” event.

It will include a panel discussion with bully experts and students.

“The Stand Up! program helps student leaders develop action plans to foster positive and inclusive schools. The ERASE Bullying strategy is a comprehensive prevention and intervention strategy that addresses bullying and harmful behaviour in schools,” reads a statement from the ministry.

The symposium runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
