Quesnel, B.C. – The third and final regional community torch celebration will take place in Quesnel tomorrow night

“This is the regional community torch celebration for the Central Interior,” says Riley Trottier, community relations coordinator for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

He says the relay will start at 5:00 p.m. and travel from the Quesnel & District Art and Recreation Centre before arriving at Quesnel’s Twin Arena’s at 7:00 p.m.

Trottier says a party will follow including a performance by the band Bright City Lights, a DJ, food and fireworks.

“It will be a very exciting event. One of the biggest 2015 Canada Winter Games events outside of Prince George and a special opportunity for people not living in Prince George to see the spirit of the Canada Winter Games.”

Quesnel was named one of three community torch relay sites in September, along with Fort St. John and Terrace.
