Community Foundation Looks to Deepen Link with Park
Prince George, B.C. –The park on the north side of the Four Season’s pool in Prince George is the subject of a request before Prince George City Council.
The park was renamed the P.G. Community Foundation Park, but the Community Foundation would like to have a deeper connection with the property.
The Foundation would like the City to dedicate the park property to the Community Foundation, or at the very least, lease it to the Foundation for 99 years.
The Community Foundation says it has some plans to improve the park, plans that would reduce the opportunities for drug activity and improve the site for the neighbourhood.
The Foundation also believes the site could be a positive revenue generator, as it could be booked for a number of events in conjunction with the neighbouring Civic Centre.
