Burns Lake, B.C. –  This week,  the big move to the new Lakes District  Hospital and Health Centre will take place.

The shift will mean some  changes to Lab and x-ray department  services

Today,  Lab and x-ray services will  operate at  regular hours in the old facility.

Tomorrow and Wednesday,  the Lab and x-ray departments will be conducting urgent testing only.

Thursday,  the lab and x-ray departments will be open for  regular hours in the new facility.

The new  Lakes  district Hospital and Health Centre officially opens to patients at noon on Wednesday,  marking the official start of the new  facility’s service to the area, while the old facility  will officially close  at noon  Wednesday.

Although  steps have been taken to  minimize disruptions to  service, it is possible there may  still be some minor  service changes until the move is  complete.
