Prince George, B.C. – Team BC is expecting a top three medal showing at the upcoming Canada Winter Games in Prince George.

“Team BC has a strong performance history but we’re not establishing a specific medal target. But in terms of overall performance it’ll definitely be a top three in the overall standings,” says Rob Needham, Team BC Chef de Mission.

“Historically Ontario, Quebec, and B.C. are traditionally in the mix for that top three and we’ll be looking to maximize every result at the games.”

BC’s 348 member team was announced today (249 athletes, 49 coaches, 27 managers, 23 mission staff) including 19 athletes from Prince George.

The team also announced 18 year old female hockey player Micah Hart from Saanichton as their torchbearer.

The Games begin February 13th.
