Quesnel, B.C. – Lots of family fun in Quesnel today as the city hosts its 7th annual Winter Carnival.
“It’s extremely popular. We have a good crowd that comes out, well over a 1,000 people that attend,” says carnival coordinator Susan MacNeill.
Gates at the West Fraser Timber Park open at noon with the official opening ceremonies slated for 1:30 p.m.
Events include cross-country skiing, show shoeing, skating and a goalie shootout, not to mention hot drinks and snacks.
The carnival wraps up at dusk with a fireworks display.
