Prince George, B.C. – The Patti Knezevic rink will have some extra coin in their pockets when they head to Moose Jaw for the national championships later this month.

This after the Prince George Cougars ownership group along with the 50/50 society donated $2,000 for the team’s Scotties run during last night’s Cougars-Oil Kings game.

The curling team won the privilege to play in Moose Jaw after winning the B.C. Scotties last month in Maple Ridge.

The rink is also holding a fundraiser tonight at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club starting at 6 p.m.

Good on the Cougars! It’s nice to have ownership with some class after 20 years without it!

Great to see one local sports organization supporting another local team! This type of attitude is what it takes to build winners … off the ice as well as on

Congratulations Patti Knezevic and team! They will be and are great ambassadors for our community.

censorship again at it’s finest.

I wrote “huh” off site , after they had posted a comment that 250news was censoring comments. I also included with that note , a portion of the e-mail we had received from the author of some comments asking us to remove them because because they had discovered, they were wrong.
I asked “huh” if they were prepared to post an apology, given that their comments were wrong, suggesting we had censored a series of comments.
Well to no one’s surprise, that apology for suggesting we had deleted the comments , didn’t show up.
In some people’s minds, Is it okay, to say what you want , when you want, without apologizing when you have it wrong, or at the very least making a correction.
Credibility is not won, it is earned.
