Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Cougars have assured themselves home ice advantage through the BC Major Midget League playoffs after clinching the league title on Sunday with a 4-2 victory over the Vancouver NorthWest Giants.

GM & Coach Trevor Sprague says “It’s been a while since we’ve won the league, and the boys are fired up.” The Cats, who beat everyone to win the highly-rated Mac’s Triple A tournament in Calgary this winter, have next weekend off, before heading to Kelowna to take on the Okanagan Rockets, who are currently leading a three team battle for 3rd place in league standings by a single point.
