Play at Ice Oval Suspended

Prince George, B.C. – Play at the outdoor ice oval has been suspended.

It had been scheduled to host the long track speed skating 500 metre female and male finals along with the long track team pursuit finals today.

Games spokesperson Alyson Gourley-Cramer attributes it to the weather conditions.

The warm weather already forced organizers to delay play at the ice oval from Saturday to Sunday morning.

A further update is expected a 11:00 this morning.

It was freezing overnight and the sun is predicted to peek through the clouds later on today! Tuesday forecast is even better so there is no reason to worry!
