Fishing 101
Prince George, B.C. – A while back, 250 News posted a photo of an unusual winter visitor in the City, a Great Blue Heron, who had decided to hang out on the Nechako River for what has turned out to be a pretty mild winter.Today, the Heron shows us how he’s managed to look after his diet these past few weeks.
250News photographer Stan Kuzma, happened to be in the area to snap a few photos as the Heron nailed this breakfast.
We admit the shots could be a little clearer, but, any movement when you are zooming in, is exaggerated . We just thought that with all the competition going on in the City right now, this Heron could show everyone, in three easy steps, how to get a medal for landing a meal, and he didn’t need a net!
Step 1:Watching for a meal:
Step 2: Making the grab!
Step 3: Breakfast is served!

Unless the river is completely frozen over Great Blue Herons are always here in winter.
And when the river is completely frozen over, Great Blue Herons are never here in winter… just to complete that Einstein thought of the day.
Speaking of Einstein!
Congratulation Dragon, you spelled Einstein correctly, here’s a cookie.

Hey Einstein, thats not how educated people write congratulations.
I see you don’t even know the difference between a cookie and a pie. Back to kindergarten sonny.
And that’s not how you spell “thats”. I can tell you are a few I.Q. points below me. How did you like the cookie I gave you? ;-)
Dragon, take your cookie and run along now, the adults on this board are commenting.
Getting off the subject here. Nice photo’s Stan.
Looks like a pretty chunky whitefish if I’m not mistaken!
