Dawson Creek, B.C. – Police are investigating a kidnapping and shooting incident in Dawson Creek.

The probe began early yesterday morning (February 21) when they found a man who had been shot multiple times outside the city’s hospital emergency entrance.

An investigation revealed a man had been abducted near the intersection of 102nd Avenue and 17th Street late Friday night.

They say the man was then forced into a pickup truck by the parking lot of Bergeron Funeral Home and taken to a rural location where he was shot multiple times.

Miraculously, the victim managed to drag himself back to a roadway where he was picked up and taken to hospital.

Police believe the incident is drug related and are seeking any information from the public who may have witnessed the struggle by the funeral home.

The victim’s name has not been released and his health status is unknown at this time.
